Romans

The apostle Paul wrote these words to the church in Rome, a group of believers he had never visited but longed to be with in order to preach the gospel in their midst. But anyone who reads Romans realizes that although physically absent, Paul preached the gospel through his letter-writing ministry.

The book of Romans is a powerful witness to Jesus’ mission of rescuing sinners from sin and death for an abundant life empowered by the Holy Spirit. Through his witness, Paul embodied the last words that Jesus said to his disciples before he ascended to heaven: “…you will be my witnesses…”
