## Read | Ruth 3:16–18

> She went to her mother-in-law, Naomi, who asked her, “What happened, my daughter?”
>
> Then Ruth told her everything the man had done for her. She said, “He gave me these six measures of barley, because he said, ‘Don’t go back to your mother-in-law empty-handed.’”
>
> Naomi said, “My daughter, wait until you find out how things go, for he won’t rest unless he resolves this today.”

## Focus

Read and reflect on the prayer below. As you end your week of study and prepare for Sunday, is there one image that has expanded your understanding or curiosity about God?

## Pray

*Lord thank you for your word,*
*a rich canvas of color, light, and shadow. *

*Teach me to be curious.*
*Show me your patterned purpose *
*that exists on these perplexing pages. *

*Teach me to see as you see. *
*Teach me to hear as you hear. *
*Teach me to accept your mysteries. *

*Let my mind become your new canvas*
*of color, light, and shadow. *

*Make me a living image *
*of your mercy and grace, *

*Until I see you *
*in all your beauty and splendor.*

*Amen*
