## Read | Psalm 23:1–5

> *The LORD is my shepherd;*  
> *I have what I need.*  
> *He lets me lie down in green pastures;*  
> *he leads me beside quiet waters.*  
> *He renews my life;*  
> *he leads me along the right paths*  
> *for his name’s sake.*  
> *Even when I go through the darkest valley,*  
> *I fear no danger,*  
> *for you are with me;*  
> *your rod and your staff—they comfort me.*
> 
> *You prepare a table before me*  
> *in the presence of my enemies;*  
> *you anoint my head with oil;*  
> *my cup overflows.*

## Focus

Take some time to meditate on and memorize this part of Psalm 23 in preparation for reciting it together on the next *With God: Family Sunday* on July 5, 2026.

Try writing it out on paper, reading it aloud multiple times, and focusing on different words each time you read it. These are ways to help with memorization.

## Pray

Use Psalm 23 as your guide for prayer today.

Name the circumstances when you feel surrounded by those who don’t have your best interests in mind. Ask God to help you recognize how he is giving you special favor and grace that is even more than you need.
