This judgment shows how seriously God views the sin of his people. Where have you minimized, excused, or normalized sin that God is calling you to confront honestly?
As you consider the severity of rebellion against God, what sins do you need to name plainly today without blame-shifting, rationalizing, or softening the truth?
Build a fuller confession using categories. Spend time confessing sins in each area:
Against God — unbelief, idolatry, prayerlessness, ingratitude, resistance to his word.
Against others — anger, gossip, harsh speech, dishonesty, partiality, neglect, selfishness.
Within yourself — pride, envy, lust, anxiety-driven control, bitterness, spiritual apathy.
With others — ways you have joined in, approved of, ignored, or benefited from the sins of a group.
End by thanking God that confession is not the end of the story. In Christ, those who confess truly are met with mercy.
Ask God to form in you a lifelong rhythm of confession marked by honesty, mercy, and hope. Thank him that confession is not the end of the story.
