Acts- reading the passage and skimming chapters 3-4 this morning made me excited that my kids are memorizing the book of Act
in Bible Quizzing fellowship next year.
Todays passage encourages me to look beyond the discouragement and worries I woke up with this morning and to instead consider myself as part of a movement of the Lord powerfully advancing despite coverups (vv17-18), threats, and harm by religious (v23) and political leaders (v27).
Who is our leader? The “sovereign Lord, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and everything in them.” He affirmed their faith by shaking the place, filling them w the HS and answering their prayers for boldness (v31)
Lord, give us boldness today to talk about you. May we, and the believers in Mariupol on both sides, see that you are indeed the Sovereign Lord over heaven and earth
Exciting stories, Abigail! I’m thankful that the college ministries are so influential. I’d also love to send my own teens to see you in action witnessing to people 😀
