Read: Jeremiah 31:31-40

Focus: This week we are slowing down to see how John uses various passages and themes from the Old Testament to explain who Jesus is as God’s embodied temple presence.

After reading this passage, reflect on how John has used it in the prologue to his gospel. What themes influenced him? How has his experience of Jesus developed his understanding of the Old Testament?

Prayer: Take time to praise God for what He has accomplished by putting His law and presence in our hearts through Jesus. Ask that you would experience the truth of that today.
