Read: Psalm 97:1-12

 

Focus: Lectio Divina is the spiritual discipline of attentively and contemplatively reading the word of God. Engage this text through the discipline of lectio divina.

  • Hearing: Read the Scripture passage slowly and listen for a word or phrase that the Lord is bringing to your attention. Write down the word or phrase.
  • Seeing: Read the passage again and focus on the word or phrase that was brought to your attention. Write down why it stood out to you.
  • Calling: Read the passage a final time with the aim of exploring what God is calling you to in response. Write down what God’s word is calling you to.
  • Closing Prayer: Pray this passage over your day.
