Joining Others Around God’s Word: We Killed the King

Written By Ben Laur

Associate Pastor - Olathe Campus

As you prepare to gather with the church to hear God’s Word today or reflect upon an earlier gathering, take a moment to pray this verse from “Speak O Lord” on behalf of your church family and yourself.

Teach us, Lord, full obedience,
Holy reverence, true humility;
Test our thoughts and our attitudes
In the radiance of Your purity.
Cause our faith to rise; cause our eyes to see
Your majestic love and authority.
Words of pow’r that can never fail—
Let their truth prevail over unbelief.

Evening Prayer – How you end your day impacts rest and rejuvenation for the next. God’s people throughout history have practiced a surrendering of all things in prayer before they laid down to sleep. While we zero in on the discipline of prayer, each Sunday we will engage in two prayers, allowing the repetition to help us be at home in these prayers.

While we zero in on the discipline of prayer, each Sunday we will engage in two prayers, allowing the repetition to help us be at home in these prayers.
